Dear Old Trident
Welcome to the OT Society's News Page.
The OT Society was formed in 1903 by Abraham Shuker who was a Trent Housemaster for 32 years. By forming the Society, Shuker wanted to create an organisation that former pupils could belong to and through this keep in contact with each other and maintain contact with Trent long after they left the school.
The OT Society, which is exclusive to Trent pupils aims to provide OT’s with a range of benefits and services whilst encouraging you to maintain links with Trent when you leave.
The benefits of being a member of the Society include:
- Being able to take part in, and attend OT events such as sporting fixtures (rugby, cricket, tennis, hockey and netball matches).
- Receiving regular information about events and also the OT Newsletter which is published twice a year.
- Having access to a new on-line web facility called Trent Reunited which gives you immediate access our database of over 7,000 members, enables you to search for lost friends and e-mail people you knew when you were at school. You can even add a photograph and some information about yourself.
- Being able to find out about what's been happening at Trent and hearing about the latest developments.
Your level of involvement with the Old Tridents Society is entirely up to you! There are even opportunities for you to be a Year Group Volunteer to help spread the word about the Society and also help to organise reunions and events in your area.
The OT Society works closely with the Trent Association, which carries out its day to day administration of the Society and manages its marketing and communications activities. If you’d like to join the OT Society and the Trent Association then visit www.trentassociation.net
