Bisley 2011

Once again The Old Tridents' Shooting Team were in fine form as they gathered for the annual NRA Schools Meeting at Bisley in July.

The 2011 group included Alfred Devenport, Alison Tomlinson, Andrew Lee, Andrew Percival, Anthony Arnold, Chris Stone, Eleanor Matthews, Gill Dixon, Ian Astley, James Christie, John Kempt, Melvyn Britten, Nigel White, Paul Eales, Ross Bartlett, Wes Vernon and William Hudson.

Although the weather conditions throughout were very damp, the OT team racked up a comendable score of 213.11v bulls, coming 44th out of 51 teams which is an improvement on previous years.   Chris Stone commented "I have to say, the winds were rather tricky at the time of the match".

Congratulations go to Wes Vernon for his outstanding score of 48.6 although there has been some indication that this may have been helped by the purchase of his new shooting jacket!

Special thanks go once again to Chris Stone for organising yet another enjoyable trip to Bisley, and to Paul Eales for assisting Chris with coaching the team and generally helping with the organisation.

2011 Team Scores:

Wes Vernon ........... 48.6

Ross Bartlett .......... 46.2

Anthony Arnold ..... 43.1

Paul Eales .............. 41.1

Total = 213.11v bulls
